I'm going to convert this to a support question, because it seems to be more of a configuration issue.
You will not be able to connect two computer directly to each other with the same cable that you would use to connect a computer to a router. You need a crossover cable, as opposed to the typical straight-through cable. If you don't get link lights on the network cards when you connect the cable between the computers, this is probably the problem. ** Changed in: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+question/118770 -- Cant share network from comp to comp thrue LAN 1wire https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/609304 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
