System: Ubuntu Lucid Lynx I have 2 optical drives, a DVD read/write drive and a DVD read only drive, both internal SATA.
The DVD R/W drive works perfectly. I have no mounting problems with either drive. The DVD ROM drive has the open/close problem. When I eject the drive using it's open/close button or using the 'eject' command the drive ejects, stays open for about 1 second, and then automatically closes again. This only happens if there is a disk already in the drive, if it is empty then it stays open and does not auto close.
