The work-around above fails in Lucid Lynx (Ubuntu 10.04) because the "grub" command is missing from grub2. See the following thread for an updated work-around: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9635712#post9635712
After a lot of searching I have been unable to determine whether this is a bug in grub or a problem with the Amilo BIOS having some kind of affection for the Windows boot loader. Any insight would be appreciated - its such a shame to fail at the finish line after everything else on the laptop works perfectly out of the box. -- (K)ubuntu fails to install GRUB on Amilo Si 3655 notebook https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/353495 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
