boot on Live CD 10.04 fails
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I upgraded my system form 9.04 to 9.10. now my computer will not boot to the
log in screen. I go to the kernel list and can't seem to find the solution.
If I don't hit ESC to the grub menu this is what I get."init: unreadahead main
process (2774) terminated satus 5 mountall:/proc/self?mountinfo: no such file
or directory
montall: root file system isn't mounted
init : mountall main process (2775)terminated with status 1
general error mounting file systems
a maintenance shell will now be started
CONTROL-D will terminate this shell and re-try.
r...@gpc3:~#
When I use the recovery kernel it flashes alot of lines and the curser end up
at the bottom. Then I get:
Alert /dev/disk/byuuid//dev/sda1 does not exist
busy box v1.1.3 (debian 1:1.1.3-5ubuntu 12) Built in shell (ash)
enter help for a list of built in commands
(initramfs)
Thanks

** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
