on Feisty:
if I connect my laptop to the mediabase while its on/active, the DVD
drive in the mediabase is not detected/activated. Nor is the floppy
drive.
The ethernet card and the video display are activated properly.
The DVD drive is firewire, so it should be hotswappable with no problem.
