This problem happens to me when running multiple tabs (10) in Chrome all running the same web page which uses Javascript to access the Google geocoding api. The page doesn't use Flash or sound.
After a number of hours Chrome becomes unresponsive and when I close Chrome I can hear heavy disk activity that doesn't stop until I terminate the chrome process in System Monitor, which usually takes two attempts before the process is actually killed. This leads me to wonder whether this may be caused by Javascript memory leaks... When this problem occurs my memory consumption is over 50% of available memory (I only have 1 Gig) and processor loads hovers around 20% (single 64-bit AMD) with no other user programs running other than Chrome and System Monitor. -- Various applications freeze on exit. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480497 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
