Public bug reported:

The network worked fine (LAN out-of-the-box, wireless after installing
drivers with jockey-kde) after installation and was reliable. But since
the notebook suspended the first time network is broken.

Neither LAN nor wireless is working any more - even after a reboot.
I tried to execute the following commands:

sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
sudo /etc/init.d/network-manager restart
sudo pkill -f NetworkManager && sudo NetworkManager
pkill -f knetworkmanager && knetworkmanager

Before this happened "dmesg | grep Ethernet" outputted a line with the Atheros
Ethernet adapter. After suspending "dmesg | grep Ethernet" outputs nothing
about this adapter anymore.
knetworkmanager shows after right-clicking only one deactivated line with
"networkmanagement disabled" (original german text: "Netzwerkverwaltung
deaktiviert")

I'm using Kubuntu 10.04 64bit desktop flavor.
