Krzysztof, I'm sorry, I must have been unclear (and I shouldn't have responded from my phone in the first place). There isn't only the fact that it's a sync, which is essentially just changing the title and description. The problem comes from the fact that NM 0.8.1 requires isc-dhcp 4.1.1, which at present will require a fair amount of work to include; so until isc- dhcp is uploaded (bug 605685), or there are some changes made to NM to support dhclient 3 with 0.8.1, we are stuck with 0.8. I'm working both angles at the same time, and should have a working patch for dhclient 3 support in 0.8.1 shortly.
That said, I'm not sure it's best to go with a merge now. The packaging we're using currently works well, so I'd personally wait until the beginning of the next cycle to have a long look at merging all of this to get as close to debian as possible. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- Please merge network-manager 0.8.1 from debian sid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/615402 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
