I'm sorry, I must have been unclear (and I shouldn't have responded from
my phone in the first place). There isn't only the fact that it's a
sync, which is essentially just changing the title and description. The
problem comes from the fact that NM 0.8.1 requires isc-dhcp 4.1.1, which
at present will require a fair amount of work to include; so until isc-
dhcp is uploaded (bug 605685), or there are some changes made to NM to
support dhclient 3 with 0.8.1, we are stuck with 0.8. I'm working both
angles at the same time, and should have a working patch for dhclient 3
support in 0.8.1 shortly.

That said, I'm not sure it's best to go with a merge now. The packaging
we're using currently works well, so I'd personally wait until the
beginning of the next cycle to have a long look at merging all of this
to get as close to debian as possible.
