Download the minimal CD and burn to CD. 2. Boot the CD and start the installer 3. Select a distro flavour to install 4. Complete the install and reboot to verify that the system works as expected. The only distribution I was able to install was the basic Ubuntu Server Option when asked to select packages. I tried three different packages: Ubuntu Desktop, Kubuntu Desk and Xubuntu Desktop. All of them started to download and install packages, then at 90%, the installation fails.
