ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily/current/ . If the issue remains, please run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 612156 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I can install 9.04 on the Gateway 7326 without a problem. I am using it to type this question. If I use the 10.04 CD ( I used that version to install 10.04 on a Toshiba) It will go though the installation and then on bootup will get as far as the UBUNTU flashing dots. The screen goes blank and stays that way. The CD doesn't flash, the hard disk drive doesn't flash, Ctrl-Alt-Delete doesn't work and there is no cursor to move. I was able to reboot in 9.04 in order to generate this request. Had the same problem when I tried to do an upgrade from the internet. That time I had to completely reformat the partition with GPart inorder to be able to reload U9.04. .............................
