There are two elements that need to be put together as I figured it out: - are there any usable data we want to preserve, if not set the status to blank - can we append a session - for rewritable DVD we can't with two exceptions: a virgin DVD+RW (that is reported "blank" by the drive) and DVD-RW in sequential mode which basically works like CD-RW and needs no patch to work
I think that's it from me, the DVD-RW so called "Restricted Overwrite" was tested to the least extent as I had such discs in sequential mode and they worked out of the box.
