Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, it is not clear which steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem. We would be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.
In the meantime, I would suggest to re-install the update-notifier-common package using ,---- | aptitude reinstall update-notifier-common `---- command, since /usr/lib/update-notifier/update-motd-updates-available file is a part of that package (you can use ,---- | dpkg -S /usr/lib/update-notifier/update-motd-updates-available `---- to find this out). Subsequently, I'm setting the bug status to Incomplete until requested information is provided. You can learn more about bug statuses at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Status. ** Changed in: update-notifier (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- file update-motd-updates-available is empty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/619052 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
