I've tried the #30 workaround, but it fails to get GE to work. In fact GE comes up then flickers and crashes. I'm still considering reverting to Ubuntu 9.10, because GE worked perfectly there. Again, my laptop uses the ATI Radeon XPRESS 300M 5955 PCIE video.
