Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20
I get random lockups in Feisty on my Thinkpad X40 laptop. I've got an
atheros card, so lspci -n gives 168c:0013. When I boot I get an error:
ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI Network Controller in slot 01
Bus:02, Device:02, Function:00
Then I have to remove the network card, reboot, put the network card
back in and boot again to make the network interface work. Before it
hangs /var/log/messages contains this error:
wifi0: hardware error; resetting
wifi0: ath_reset: unable to reset hardware: 'Hardware didn't respond as
expected' (HAL status 3)
The kernel version is 2.6.20-13-generic (version #2 SMP Sun Mar 25
00:21:25).
Under Feisty it doesn't seem to hang as it did under Edgy, but the
network interface crashes irrevocably (restarting the network interface
- fails).
