Public bug reported: xubuntu installs hang at 69% reproducibly on my Thinkpad 600X. I'm not sure how to go about troubleshooting this problem. The hang isn't "complete" - i.e. you can CTRL-ALT-F2 to get out of the GUI and get to a command-line, and even enter a command, but no output will be produced. (For example, I've tried to get a ps listing on one of the virtual consoles), and it never produces any output.)
Oddly enough, ubuntu 6.06 installs fine on this hardware (it's just kind of slow on a 500MHz PIII). ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Needs Info -- xubuntu 6.06 install hangs at 69% on Thinkpad 600X (reproducible) https://launchpad.net/bugs/55517 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
