Same problem here with Kubuntu 10.04 and KDE 4.5 on both 32- and 64-bit
platforms.  My machine shuts down every time but FS doesn't unmount
cleanly.  I added lsof to /etc/init.d/umountfs like this -

... # Unmount local filesystems
lsof > /home/wizard/Documents/lsof.txt
   #
   if [ "$WEAK_MTPTS" ]; then...

and have attached the output.
