Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xchat

XChat does not report when internet connection is lost, like for
example- when the connection is lost due to logging or some other
reason. Whatever I type will be displayed on the messages windows but
there will be no response from other user, only after some time I
realise that the connection is lost, then i have to reconnect after
getting the internet working.

It should prompt when I try to send message, when there is no internel
connection and not stay like dumb..
