@AlexW- The suspend/resume fix for Dell Studio 1558 (this bug report) was released in 2.6.32-23.37 (see comment #64); it is still present in 2.6.32-24.41.
My "experimental" brightness fix (LP #568611) has not yet been applied to any official tree.
