I think there is a problem with the display driver detection. The install (10.04) works fine in the text mode (with the alternate CD). But after reboot the system hangs again. If you are using the vesa driver you will get your X desktop - but sure with poor performance.
It seems that the new intel driver (intel_drv.so) doesn't work with the chipset. and the old driver (i810_drv.so) isn't available for Lucid (ubuntu10.04). Any ideas to get the display driver to work ?????
