I am not sure how bringing Gnome desktop instead of xfdesktop have to do with
any application actually.
What Gnome desktop is doing behind, before starting xfdesktop, in the first
place? (I think I see the same thing happening even on booting up machine,
after I log in to Xfce desktop). First Gnome desktop appears and then xfdesktop
kicks in, so it sounds to me like some flaw in a way environment is bring up.

I guess that application does not call Gnome desktop do wake up by itself?
How do you propose i can "catch" what application is doing in this regard?
Wwhat other applications you would propose I could try to test, I observed this
behavior currently only with UT.

But I also observed this behavior upon logging in sometimes, when only Gnome
desktop is displayed and I "fix" it upon logging in by sending 'pkill xfdeskop'
and then it reloads and replaces Gnome dektop that was displayed upon logging
in to Xfce session.
Why Gnome dektop is in background there, anyway?
