First, a simple question, does it matter whether Windows 7 has been started or not? I e, are speakers working if you boot Win 7 and then reboot into Ubuntu? If that answer is "yes", we'll can just compare the coefs when it is working and when it is not. If the answer is no, I guess we should try to find the most similar hardware (i e another laptop with alc888) where internal speakers are working.
