Beste Gerard, For as far as I am aware the problem this thread is about only occurred for 10.04 and 10.10, not 9.10. So whatever problem you had may or may not be the problem at hand. Having said that, the resolution to the problem at hand was a fix to 10.04, not 10.04 by itself. It is recommended top apply all fixes and follow instructions from Ubuntu. The chances that problems are resolved by these are much higher than the chances of introducing new problems. Also, the chances that downloading fixes and following instructions from other websites is successful are much slimmer. Groeten, Dick
