** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: network-manager

After installing Feisty my Ralink wifi card started buggy behavior.
I set up the interfaces as I was used in Dapper (I heared people complaining
about the same problem in Edgy) but my internet didnt work (I use wifi as only
internet connection and eth0 for internet sharing).
I found out although I configured and ticked the tick besides ra0 interface
the interface was down,

  sudo ifup ra0
solved it for short time, however after a reset it stopped working,

running: "sudo ifup ra0" gave me:
  "ifup: interface ra0 already configured"

When I tried stopping and restarting ra0 "sudo ifdown ra0" gave:
  "SIOCDELRT: No such process"

  After uninstalling network-manager it works.
+
+ My wifi card is CN-WF511 using RaLink RT 2500 chipset.
