Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Using the kubuntu desktop amd64 beta candidate image (20100902.1) there
does not appear to be any way to resize existing partitions and no
message to this effect is given. This is on a VirtualBox instance with
an 8G drive. There is no automatic resizing option nor any obvious way
to resize existing partitions from the manual partitioner. (See
screenshots.)

Ubuntu and Xubuntu resizing works as expected from the installer.
