Hey guys, i would like to reopen this bug ubuntu lucid...synaptic ...inconsistently hangs the system... I must ctrl+alt+F1... killall synaptic.... restart gdm... log in and run synaptic when it happens.. As I said it is inconsistent but frequent enough that i start software sources first and close that and run synaptiic... if I see it is going to hang I immediately ctrl+alt+F1.. I ran apport-collect -v -p etc; ` apport-collect: error: no such option: -v ` Not sure what to do about this.. I get no errors running sudo synaptic from terminal.. once in synaptic all runs well...however when finishing installation of some package there is a quick error dialog that shows for less than a blink of an eye...I could see the word "error" <<< this happens consistently
