The error_log gives the impression that OpenOffice.org send broken PostScript. The PostScript->PDF filter step errors out. So to investigate this problem, please capture the print output doing the following:
Run in a terminal window: cancel -a cupsdisable Epson-Stylus-Photo-R220 Then print a job from OpenOffice.org, wait for the job getting sent completely and after some more seconds run the following commands in your terminal window: sudo ls -1 /var/spool/cups There will be exactly one file with a name starting with 'd'. Copy this file to your home directory: sudo cp /var/spool/cups/d... ~/ooo-output.ps sudo chmod 777 ~/ooo-output.ps Re-enable the print queue: cupsenable Epson-Stylus-Photo-R220 Attach the file ~/ooo-output.ps to this bug report. For Evince please first attach an error_log as described in the "CUPS error_log" section of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems. Also capture the print output as described above, copying it into an ~/evince-output.pdf file and attaching it. Do not tar the files to be attached together. Attach one file after the other, in separate comments. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Epson Stylus Photo R220 not printing or printing only white sheets https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/623620 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
