And one more comment for #4: Mathieu did you use proxy server to reach the Internet? Or you just "almost" certain you saw the proxy step...
So my choice was: expert options and install command line system at the first boot screen. I'm certain I didn't saw the proxy step after I chose the network mirror. I tested an Ubuntu 10.04 alternate install iso (just for sure) and at this time the installer asked for proxy settings. I think this is a bug in the Ubuntu 10.10 alternate installer and 10.04 don't have this issue. Here are other Q/A reports: https://wiki.kubuntu.org/QATeam/ReleaseReports/MaverickAlpha3TestReport Yes, I know these reports against Kubuntu alternate, however the Ubuntu and Kubuntu are using the nearly same alternate installer. -- Input for http proxy was not presented https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/613550 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
