Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
Console suddenly stops to display any new data that massively comes from an application (presumably via stderr). The freeze can last 5 to 25min! The application that performs output seems to sleep all this time. The application is *not* interactive, that is, there is absolutely *no* input from user expected and/or requested. Console resumes the output when one tries to move the vertical scroller bar.
