Do you get the printer-internal configuration interface if you go to http://192.168.2.101/
or https://192.168.2.101/ with a web browser? Can you look there whether printing through the network is activated and whether at least one of the JetDirect/AppSocket or LPD protocols is activated? If not, activate one, preferably JetDirect/AppSocket. Then run system-config-printer (System -> Administration -> Printing), click "Add" and your printer should appear. Check also whether there are things like a firewall in the network which could prevent communication between your printer and your computer. Also go into the configuration web interface of your router and make sure that the printer always gets the same IP address and that it is accessible for all computers in your network. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Can't connect to printer connected by wired LAN to router https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/620224 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
