I've managed to make my Ubuntu drivers visible from Windows by writing my own service file, however the issue is complex because one needs to decide whether to use a Windows driver or use the Cups filter chain to render the print - I'm not a guru so I simply don't know how to write correct service files, I suspect the only way to get them is from a functioning Bonjour implementation.
