And this wiki how-to for Feisty shows how to install fglrx using the patch I referred to: http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Feisty_Installation_Guide I have an All-in-Wonder X800 XT which is supposed to be supported by the proprietary driver. I have followed instructions on how to install it using Sabayon v. 3.3, then I switched to Ubuntu Feisty beta and had the same problems. After following directions to a T, it reboots to a black screen and locks the computer up without allowing me to ctrl-alt-F1 to a command line. My only option is to reboot to the command line and restore my xorg.conf to the open source ati driver. If you can help me figure this out, I would appreciate it.
