I just printed a test page from the gnome printer configuration with
standard settings. It also occurs when printing the attached pdf.

Some additional info:
I have upgraded from ubuntu lucid to maverick. I can now say that the printer
worked after the upgrade without changing or resetting any settings in the cups
printing configuration. But when printing pages 173 to 208 from the attached
document with evince, I got a wrong output (see image in attachment).
After seeing this, I've 'deleted' the printer from the printer configuration
and reinstalled the printer with the gnome printer configuration wizard. After
reinstalling, I now allways get this error message (at least for this document
and for printing a test page). Afterwards I-ve tried to reinstall cups (with
'apt-get --purge remove cups' and 'apt-get install cups ubuntu-desktop'), but
that didn't remove the error message.
I connected this printer on another computer (mac os x 10.4). When printing the
same document from maverick with evince to that computer, I got the same weird
output, so it seems that this is a problem of evince. The problem doesn't occur
with acroread. I will make an additional bug report for this problem. (So after
all, it wasn't needed to reinstall the the printer, but this output is a bug in
evince).
