Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz
When I try to run compiz, I get this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ compiz --replace libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b /usr/bin/compiz.real: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is not supported by direct rendering context, trying indirect rendering context instead inotify_add_watch: No such file or directory Segmentation fault (core dumped) gtk-window-decorator: Could not acquire decoration manager selection on screen 0 display ":0.0" libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b /usr/bin/compiz.real: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is not supported by direct rendering context, trying indirect rendering context instead XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0" after 12025 requests (12025 known processed) with 388 events remaining. gtk-window-decorator: Could not acquire decoration manager selection on screen 0 display ":0.0" libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b /usr/bin/compiz.real: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is not supported by direct rendering context, trying indirect rendering context instead inotify_add_watch: No such file or directory Segmentation fault (core dumped) gtk-window-decorator: Could not acquire decoration manager selection on screen 0 display ":0.0" /usr/bin/compiz.real: Screen 0 on display ":0.0" already has a window manager; try using the --replace option to replace the current window manager. /usr/bin/compiz.real: No manageable screens found on display :0 gtk-window-decorator: Could not acquire decoration manager selection on screen 0 display ":0.0" /usr/bin/compiz.real: Screen 0 on display ":0.0" already has a window manager; try using the --replace option to replace the current window manager. /usr/bin/compiz.real: No manageable screens found on display :0 The last lines repeat over and over and compiz launches multiple instances. If I don't killall them quickly, it can hang my system. By the way, I use AIGLX with an ati card (free driver) and beryl runs fine. Compiz used to do, but suddenly stopped... (maybe some update). I think the point must be the inotify_add_watch line, but I don't understand it.
