Sorry for not being clear

Evolution 2.28.3 on ubuntu 10.04 lucid also on 10.04 netbook

I have 2 email accounts set up and enabled:
email1 which is my main one which I send and receive from.
email2 which is a send only address so the receive server is set to
'none'

emails to email2 are forwarded to email1. When received, I can see the
email was addressed to email2 even though it may be in the email1 inbox.
(the email header shows email2 in the TO line)

When I 'reply' to email2 I want it to be from email2 not email1 (that is
why I set up email2 as send only)
I assume the software checks the TO field of the email being replied to
and tests if the email address is a valid account, if it is it sets the
sender account to that if not it sets the sender account to the default
accoutn

Until today, this worked as expected, but today it changed so that when
I try to 'reply' to an email to email2 it defaulted to sending from
email1

I tried loading 8.10 Intrepid as a live disc (I had the disc to hand)
and set up 2 email accounts as above and it worked as expected.
(ie even though an email sent was received by email1, it was addressed
to email2 and the reply was set to be from email2)

I hope this is clear enough.
I did spend a long time trying to sort it out because I thought it was a
setting problem

Other things I have noticed which may or may not be of interest.
While I was trying to sort it out I deleted the contact 'tim' which held
all my email addresses and when I tried sending out a reply (which
automatically saves the email address in contacts) it saved it in the
contact detail of another contact with a surname and the first name
'tim' which meant it was stored in the wrong place
Since upgrading from 8.04 (3 updates via the update manager) evolution
has seem less stable. As I said : a few times on booting up and getting
into evolution it has crashed out back to 'enter user' on entering the
password for the email. So I have to login again. But this is not
repeatable.
On booting it usually takes 2 goes for it to boot up. After sitting with
3 lines of text for some time, the screen goes blank and leaves a cursor
at the top left of the screen. On the second attempt (using the reset
button) it sits with the 3 lines and then the mouse and desktop image
appears and it initialises properly. On switching off it asks if I want
to close all programs and switch off and as far as I can see all
programs are closed.

It may be finger trouble, or a support problem.
