Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mutter
With Ubuntu netbook 10.10 beta, I'm getting a crash of mutter (I think - the behaviour is the same as during a reset/change of window manager, but it could be an xserver crash) when closing a pdf I'm viewing in evince. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a pdf file from within Nautilus (I used Nautilus rather than the unity browser; not sure if this matters) 2. Document will open, but top panel does not have close/minimize/unmaximize buttons or application menu 3. Clicking anywhere on the document causes the missing items in 2 to appear. 4. Clicking on the close button closes the document, and also causes mutter to crash/reset. I also had a couple of screenlets running in the background; I'm not sure if this is relevant although my impression is that mutter doesn't handle them very well.
