Ok, there has been NO progress on this bug, which is drastically affecting the usability of certain applets such as the "CPU Scaling Monitor" by making the text UTTERLY illegible. This is a confirmed problem with examples, which I will add to shortly.
Can we please see some attention given to this problem?
