Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub2
I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 beta. Since yesterday, grub-pc update ends with this error : "Generating grub.cfg ... /usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/mapper/isw_jaigchfec_VOL15. Check your device.map." I'm using my laptops built-in Intel's fakeRaid with mirrored two sata drives. my GRUB2 BOOT partition is on RAID too. I'm not so experienced with Linux, just beginning to learn this year. However, I'm an experienced IT specialist for 10+ years, so I can follow any command you provide with. Here's the related partitions. /dev/mapper/isw_jaigchfec_VOL13 is BOOT /dev/mapper/isw_jaigchfec_VOL15 is Ubuntu Although Ubuntu boots and runs normally, grub-pc update fails.
