If anyone having this problem with Apple Turkish Q keyboard ; Create a file named .Xmodmap under your home folder and paste the following lines ;
keycode 49 = less greater less greater bar brokenbar keycode 94 = quotedbl eacute quotedbl eacute less degree Save and voila!
