So, I got the upgrade to work, but it failed for me. Some of it was cause it didn't like the packages I had and the programs that were running. I am a developer, so I have a lot of things running ;) Anyhow, it should have send the "bugs" in. But in case others are running them: firestarted beryl
were issues. It actually dropped beryl and I had to re-install it. I still can't get it working again but that maybe because of other things ... the ati drivers need to get updated etc. To make everything work cause the whole upgrade hung on me with a blank screen, I rebooted the system. This in-turn was bad as the grub loader couldn't find the drive anymore for the old system I had, 2.6.17.11, so I went back to 2.6.17.10 and did a: adept upgrade -a and that seemed to do it. Anyhow, I did finally get all the way through after some puzzlement and it seem to be working.
