slocate is no longer included in Ubuntu since Karmic. Instead, mlocate is used. This raises the following questions: - does mlocate have the same problem? - does mlocate use fts (which shows the bug) or find? - if mlocate uses fts, is it the coreutils version or the glibc version? - if it's glibc's fts, has the bug that was fixed in coreutils been merged to glibc? (this might be also relevant for other utilities using glibc's fts) - is the current slocate fixed? (no longer relevant for Ubuntu users, except LTS versions)
