Looking at my logs, it appears to be another incarnation of 548992. I see many "deauthenticated from [router MAC] (Reason: 7)" errors in /var/log/syslog. A quick Google search for 'deauthenticated reason 7' shows people reporting this problem on various distributions as far back as 2008. Unfortunately obscure error messages like "reason 7" don't really give me much information to go on. I browsed a few of the items that came up on Google but didn't see much that told me what reason 7 might be. I guess I could go browse the kernel source to try and figure this out, but frankly that's more work than simply reverting back a minor kernel upgrade.
