I have an XFX brand nvidia 7800GT 256 MB AGP 8x card that uses a bridge
chip to convert it from PCI-e to AGP.

This card also does not correctly hardware detect in either Edgy final
or Feisty beta.

It is shown in xorg.conf as "generic video card" and results in the vesa
driver being installed by default.

In Edgy final, installing the nvidia-glx package works without problems.

In Feisty beta:
The restricted Drivers manager reports:
"Your hardware does not need any restricted drivers."

After enabling all repositories, installing the nvidia-glx package and enabling
the driver, x fails.
output of sudo modprobe nvidia:
FATAL: Could not open '/lib/modules/2.6.20-13-generic/volatile/nvidia.ko': No
such file or directory

Output of lspci | grep VGA:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Unknown device 02e0 (rev
a2)

Output of lspci -n | grep 0300:
01:00.0 0300: 10de:02e0 (rev a2)
