I have similar problems with Ubuntu 10.04 i386 running on following hardware:
Philips Freevents X55 (also known as Twinhead H12Y, Everex Stepnote SA2050, Averatec 2460), Intel Core 2 Duo T5500, Intel Centrino chipset with GMA 945 GPU. Running with all open source drivers. Suspend to RAM (STR, S3) works as expected and resumes much faster than equivalent feature with Windows XP on the same hardware. However, resume from hibernate hangs during resume (writing the hibernation image and shutdown seem to work ok). The kernel correctly finds the hibernation image and loads it into the memory but activating the hibernated image hangs for some (yet unknown) reason. Pointers about how to debug this further would be welcome. Note: this hardware requires kernel flag reserve=0xffb00000,0x100000 to boot (boot process hangs othewise). Could the problem be that this reservation is not preserved by the hibernation process and resume from hibernation hangs because the memory that should be reserved is used? -- 9.04 hibernate hangs as it wakes up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/315698 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
