Just confirming something, I left this part out because I thought it was 
self-evident, but in retrospect it's never safe to do that.
In the instructions in comment #5, if the file /tmp/songchange.out does appear, 
then the plugin is working correctly.

For me (with 2.3) I do NOT get the file, so the script
/tmp/songchange.sh is not run, ie. the bug in the plugin exists.
