I inadvertently deleted a panel and was unable to re-create it under U 10.04.
It was necessary to re-install a previous release of Ubuntu, create the panels
and then re-update to U 10.04. i use a simple two panel scheme. One panel is
for the icons and the other shows the active windows.
Another problem is that the icon panel than i want on the "bottom" and
is listed in panel properties as on the "bottom" is placed above (rather
than below) the other panel, which shows the active windows.
