Actually, that's the documentation for LDAP login support. It's a different document from the Samba File Server document. However, with the link you posted above, I found this: http://doc.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/serverguide/C/samba-fileserver.html which is indeed the correct document. In any case, it looks like everything is corrected in the new version.
