I entered 631130, and although this bug report suggests the slowness of 10.04.
The last few comments by me on 631130 indicate what is happening to me on 10.10
Beta.
10.10 Beta is progressing very fast and hopefully will solve the problems in
10.04.
I have noticed that periodic updates of 10.04 have made it better, and I
suspect is because of maverick code going into the updates of 10.04 (for
example nautilus, kernel, and nvidia driver).
