Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

In Maverick Release Candidate, Ubiquity doesn't suggest anymore to
install Ubuntu on available unallocated free space. Which is rather
annoying, because that puts an end to easy clean upgrades or
reinstallations.

Formerly, you could simply destroy the existing Ubuntu partition, thus
rendering it into unallocated free space. Then you could start Ubiquity,
which would then automatically suggest to use the unallocated free space
for the installation.

It would be nice if this could be fixed before Maverick ships in it's
final edition.
