Please download the latest HPLIP 3.10.9 from www.hplipopensource.com site and install. once installed open /usr/share/hplip/data/models/models.dat file as root. edit section "deskjet_1050_j410_series" and set "io-mfp-mode=1" and "scan-type=7" and save the file.
