** Description changed: Binary package hint: boinc After the update to version 260.19.06 of the Nvidia proprietary drivers (from 256...), all GPU Boinc tasks report a "Computation Error" within 3 to 12 seconds of starting. The CPU tasks work as expected. To try to remedy the problem, I have purged boinc, restarted my computer, and reinstalled it. This did not help. - I have an NVidia 8600M GS graphics card and I am running Maverick - updated as of 5 October 2010. + I have an NVidia 8600M GS graphics card and I am running Maverick updated as of 5 October 2010. + --- + Architecture: amd64 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100429) + NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia + Package: boinc 6.10.58+dfsg-3 + PackageArchitecture: amd64 + ProcEnviron: + PATH=(custom, user) + LANG=en_ZA.utf8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.33-generic 2.6.35.4 + Tags: maverick + Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic x86_64 + UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare ** Attachment added: "Dependencies.txt" https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/655139/+attachment/1673376/+files/Dependencies.txt -- Boinc GPU tasks all end with "Computation Error" after update to NVidia 260.19.06 proprietary drivers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/655139 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
